This is the privacy policy for Jiu-Jitsu Outlet LLC, a limited liability company registered in the state of Missouri. EIN: 93-2038972. Registered business address: 6736 Douglas Rd, Houston, MO 65483.

We operate martial arts academies and the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet member app. This policy covers our website (jiujitsuoutlet.com), our member app, and the ways we communicate with you. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

On our website. When you submit a form or opt in on our website, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number. We collect this information so we can communicate with you about our programs, schedule and confirm your sessions, follow up on your interest, and send you updates and offers. When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitor's IP address, and the browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

In the member app. When you use the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet member app, we collect your phone number to sign you in, and we record your training activity inside the app. Training activity includes the lessons you watch, the lessons you complete, the points you earn, and your rank. We use this information to operate your account, show your progress, and help our coaches support your training.

Payments. Our payment processor (Stripe) handles all payments. We never see or store your full card number.

Your information is stored with secure service providers that host our website, our app, our database, and our customer management and communication platforms. Those providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

SMS and Text Messaging

We send two kinds of text messages. Each kind has its own consent.

Sign-In Verification Codes

When you sign in to the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet member app, you enter your mobile phone number and we send you a one-time verification code by text message. Each code is sent only in direct response to a sign-in request that you make. These messages contain your code and nothing else. They are account security messages, not marketing.

Message frequency: one message per sign-in request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at paul@jiujitsuoutlet.com. Reply STOP to stop all text messages from us. If you opt out, you will not receive sign-in codes by text. Text START to opt back in, or contact us and we will help you access your account another way.

Marketing and Customer Care Messages

When you provide your phone number and opt in through a form, signup point, or request on our website, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text (SMS) messages from Jiu-Jitsu Outlet LLC. These messages may include appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, follow-up messages, account and program notifications, customer care communications, and promotional offers about our programs and services. You also consent to communication by phone call and by email for the same purposes, according to the contact preferences you provide.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. After you reply STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at paul@jiujitsuoutlet.com.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

Your Mobile Information Is Not Shared

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your mobile phone number, your SMS consent, or your text messaging opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is used only to enable communication between you and Jiu-Jitsu Outlet LLC. The only exception is the service providers that send messages on our behalf, and they may use your information only to deliver the messages you have requested or consented to.

Managing Your Contact Preferences

You are always in control of how we communicate with you. At any time you may ask us to stop contacting you, update your contact preferences, pause communications, or remove your information from our database entirely. To do any of these, reply STOP to a text, click unsubscribe in any email, or email us at paul@jiujitsuoutlet.com. We will honor your request. We send marketing communications only to people who have opted in, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Email Newsletter

Our email newsletter is sent on a recurring basis. Every email includes an unsubscribe option, and you may opt out at any time.

Cookies, Tracking, and Advertising

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These cookies exist for your convenience and last for one year. If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we set cookies to save your login information and display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select "Remember Me," your login persists for two weeks. When you log out, the login cookies are removed.

Our website may contain advertising and analytics pixels from Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn, Google, and Pinterest. These tools receive information about your website browsing only, so that the advertising you see is relevant to you. We never provide your mobile phone number, your SMS consent, or your text messaging opt-in data to these advertising platforms. You can clear your browsing data at any time to remove these pixels from your browser.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Pages on our website and lessons in our member app may include embedded content such as videos, images, and articles. Video lessons in the app are played through YouTube. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited the other website directly. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content.

Children and Minors

Our academies train young people, and a parent or guardian manages everything on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information without that consent, contact us at paul@jiujitsuoutlet.com and we will remove it.

Lawful Basis and How We Use Your Data (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these lawful bases: your consent, the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interests in operating our business, balanced against your rights. We use your personal data to communicate with you, manage your sessions and your app account, respond to your requests, operate and improve our website and app, and comply with our legal obligations.

You have rights over the personal data we hold about you. Depending on your location, these may include the right to access your data, receive an exported copy, request correction, request erasure, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. We may be required to retain certain data for administrative, legal, or security purposes even after a deletion request. Data Retention

We retain your contact information for as long as you remain an active contact, customer, or member, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first, except where we must retain it for legal, administrative, or security reasons. Records of training progress and points inside the member app are retained as part of your account history. Visitor comments and their metadata may be retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.

How We Protect Your Data

Your information is stored with secure service providers and is not shared with any outside organizations except as described in this policy. Our website is encrypted and kept updated with current firewall and anti-spam protections. Access to member data inside the app is restricted by server-side security rules. Your information is not for sale.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or the member app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
